Lip Dubbing? Yes!
One thing I love about Vimeo is all the lip dubbing videos that people post. Some aren’t that great, but others are just hilarious! If you don’t know what lip dubbing is, this is what the founder of Vimeo had to say:
Jakob Lodwick, the founder of Vimeo, coined the term “lip dubbing” on December 14, 2006, in a video entitled “Lip Dubbing: Endless Dream“. In the video’s description, he wrote, “I walked around with a song playing in my headphones, and recorded myself singing. When I got home I opened it in iMovie and added an MP3 of the actual song, and synchronized it with my video. Is there a name for this? If not, I suggest ‘lip dubbing’.”

Brain Farts All Around
So obviously I haven’t blogged in a while. Yeah, I don’t feel obligated to blog, but I have been having major brain farts about… well, everything lately. I’ve been feeling out of sorts and haven’t been able to do shit lately. I couldn’t decide what theme I liked, so I kept trying out different things. My regular readers will know that this is usual with me, but usually I know what I want and lately I haven’t. I do like this design so that is out of the way. For now…
I need to get back to working on my novel and I have a ton of books I need to read. I feel like I’ve been in some sort of funk and my head is finally clearing. It’s frustrating when you have so many things to do but don’t know what you want to do first or how you even want to go about it. I’ve been a bit down lately, too, so maybe that is it. Either way, hopefully this time I can get a firm grip on my head and pull it out of my ass and get my shit together. If I had a theme song, No Rain by Blind Melon would be it.

Painting Elvis with Cheetos
I found this video on You Tube, and I gotta say… it’s pretty cool! But I have to wonder how anyone would ever come up with this idea? Do you just wake up one morning and say, “Hey! I totally have to paint Elvis using Cheetos!”? I don’t know. Maybe someone was smoking something and decided that their snack food had another use. Either way, cool video. But I do have to ask: Why not Britney Spears? Doesn’t she love Cheetos?
That Water is Totally Stagnant
If you haven’t checked out the awesomeness of Natalie Dee, I highly recommend it. Her drawings are cute, simple, and amusing. I chose this one because it made me laugh, and that’s a good thing, right? Right?!

L’homme 100 têtes
I really dug this video I found on Vimeo. I absolutely love the videos on their site!
For the contest ,« Transformation : Live-React », Julien Lassort and Matthieu Burlot explored the human face, the most exposed and personal part of the human body. Their dynamic portrayal of “1000 and one faces” is a mosaic of portraits and emotions that plays off of the power of faces seen close up. Julien Fargo composed the melody that encapsulates the film.
It’s pretty trippy and nicely done. Enjoy!

New Design!
Yeah, I know. I have been redesigning my blog more than posting. But it’s fun! Anyways, I hope you like the new layout. I have a few things left to work out, but this is pretty much it for now.
I’ll be posting a bunch of stuff soon, so make sure to come back or subscribe to my RSS feed.
I’d appreciate any thoughts on the new design! I love feedback, and I would love to hear what you think!
UPDATE 11.19.08: Did another redesign. Wasn’t happy with the old. Now I can get to blogging!
